Tampa General Hospital Opens First TGH Outpatient Center in Lutz Sunlake Community

New state-of-the-art facility brings accessible, high-quality primary, imaging and urgent care services to the region. 

To bring academic, world-class care to the Lutz area, Tampa General Hospital (TGH) continues to expand with a new, state-of-the-art outpatient medical center in the Sunlake community. The 14,625-square-foot outpatient center now provides a wide range of adult and pediatric services and is the first TGH outpatient center in the rapidly growing area just north of Tampa.

Services at the new center, located at 19027 Wingshooter Way in Lutz, include comprehensive imaging services by TGH Imaging, including mammography, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT and DEXA scans. Primary care will be provided by Tampa General Medical Group (TGMG) along with walk-in and urgent care from TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track. Additionally, a care navigator is available to patients to offer resources, guide them through health care diagnoses, connect them with community services and assist with any health care needs. This service sets this TGH outpatient center apart from other outpatient centers, highlighting Tampa General’s commitment to holistic patient support.

TGH Imaging
TGH Imaging is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), having earned top
designations in breast imaging and lung cancer screening and includes board-certified radiologists with certifications in 11 radiology subspecialties. Through industry expertise and innovation, TGH Imaging delivers world-class care, enhancing the quality and coordination of outpatient care while achieving optimal patient experience.

Tampa General Medical Group Primary Care
The new TGH Outpatient Center in the Sunlake community includes 12 dedicated primary care patient exam rooms as well as a spacious urgent care area that provides services by board-certified medical professionals. Nurse navigation services are available to help patients find the appropriate level of care.

TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track
Urgent care providers at the Sunlake location will treat common illnesses and injuries. Other services include pre-employment screenings, employment physicals and clearances, presurgical clearances and assessments for workers’ compensation injuries. Certain prescriptions can be filled on-site.
