Tower Radiology Expands Mobile PET / CT Services

Tampa, FL: Tower Radiology, one of the largest physician owned and operated outpatient radiology practices in Tampa Bay, has invested in a new mobile PET/CT imaging system from GE Healthcare with technology that can help doctors diagnose and evaluate oncology patients. This innovative scanning technology lets oncologists see the entire body in a single scan and uses the most sensitive cancer imaging system on the market to help pinpoint small tumors and lesions. This PET/CT will provide clinicians with both the outstanding image quality they need to make a confident cancer diagnosis and measurements that can help track treatment progress. Patients can also expect to be scanned quickly and efficiently with new technology that enables both half the PET dose and half the scan time, essential for elderly or sick patients that cannot hold still for a long time. Thankfully, this innovative technology is mobile, making it available five days a week at one of three Tower Radiology locations in Sun City Center, Bloomingdale and New Port Richey.
